Project Ambassador - (Community Outreach and Promotions Internship)

The Project Ambassador will assist the Program Director with promoting, marketing and raising the profile of the Minnesota Dance Film Festival at college campuses and community events throughout the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.

Responsibilities may include: researching opportunities to promote the project to Minnesota artists and community organizations, researching area community events for Festival promotion; coordinating Festival representation at general community and university events; exploring new ways to increase audience base for Festival; enhancing Festival’s on-line presence and community network; investigating opportunities to partner with student groups on various campuses; brainstorming new and creative ways to reach out to audience; researching course offerings pertinent to the Festival season; and building connections with community organizations.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong social and organizational skills. Preferred candidates will have an academic background or experience in marketing, communications, community development or related field.

Unpaid internship, available for college credit.
Dates: Summer and/or Fall 2010 (Flexible)
Time Commitment: 5-10 hr/wk Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.
